I have to agree with Sébastien on this. I had raised the same topic
before to Wolfgang (Qi Hardware [1]), to create a cheap(er)
alternative to the USRP [2]. This is IMHO currently out of scope for
Milkymist. We do not have hardware yet (or verified as being
reliable). We also have no complete toolchain or OS running on the
SoC. And still lots more...
But this doesn't take away the idea. I would also love to to see a
USRP-like platform running the Milkymist SoC, to work with GNUradio
[3], since this would create options to enter the wireless/RF market
and start developing open source implementations protocols, etc. Just
bear with us.
