I would not be able to develop any of the things on this list, but if
any of them get to the point of needing a non-completely-clueless user
tester I'd be happy to help, and also look into recruiting others to
help.

I'd also be interested in helping to find a way to get it short-run
fabbed when it gets to that point; helping to interface with the FSF
and general publicity; and once a fabbed version is available, being a
reseller of just the chip, or 100% free devices based on the chip.

(FPGA versions have the issue that the FPGAs themselves require
nonfree software to program, at least last time I looked.)
