By the way, the FPGA interface to the USB chip of the ML401 should be 
straightforward; it shares most of its pins with the SystemACE chip and uses 
similar signaling.

So a couple of relatively simple modifications in the aceusb core should do (if 
you don't want DMA of course).

I don't know about the software support status, though.
